Quick reference: If you travel monthly, that's about 60 trips over 5 years. Weekly travelers would be around 260 trips.

Breaking Down the Cost

The $100 Global Entry fee seems expensive upfront, but it's valid for 5 full years. When you break it down by your actual number of trips, the cost per use is surprisingly low.

For example, if you take 10 trips per year, that's 50 trips over 5 years. Global Entry costs just $2 per trip - less than a coffee at the airport!

What the $100 Fee Actually Includes

Global Entry membership lasts five years and includes TSA PreCheck at no extra charge, so the same $100 covers both expedited international arrivals and faster domestic security screening. Many travelers also get the fee reimbursed by a travel rewards credit card, which can bring the real cost down to $0.

Children still need their own application and fee — Global Entry has no family rate — so a household of four pays $400 for five years. Even then the per-trip math usually stays low: a family taking four international trips a year spreads that cost across 80 interview-free arrivals.

Use the calculator above with your own travel frequency to see your personal cost per trip. The more you fly, the cheaper each use of Global Entry becomes — and the time saved at the border often outweighs the dollar cost entirely.
