Newark Liberty International Airport
Newark, NJ
View availability & wait timesNYC is one of the toughest metros in the country for scheduling a Global Entry interview. The major enrollment centers — JFK Airport, Newark Liberty, and the Manhattan field office — routinely show wait times of six to twelve months on the TTP scheduling site. The slots that close that gap come from cancellations, and they vanish within seconds of appearing. Refreshing the TTP page by hand almost never catches them.
The strategy that actually works in the NYC metro is to track multiple centers at once. JFK and Newark are reachable from most of the five boroughs and northern New Jersey in under an hour with the right transit, and the Long Island and Stamford centers often have shorter waits than the marquee airport locations. Stamford is roughly an hour from Grand Central on the Metro-North New Haven line; Long Island centers like Garden City are accessible from the LIRR. Newark Liberty has its own AirTrain connection from NJ Transit. If you're willing to combine two or three of these into a tracking list, your effective wait time drops dramatically.
A note on enrollment-on-arrival: JFK supports Enrollment Upon Arrival for conditionally approved applicants returning from international travel — if you have an international trip coming up, you may not need an interview appointment at all. Confirm with CBP at JFK before relying on it.
Our scanner watches every NYC-area Global Entry center continuously, plus NEXUS and SENTRI enrollment centers in the tri-state region for applicants enrolled in those programs. Pick up to three centers when you sign up, and we'll text you the second a slot opens at any of them.

Typical scheduled wait times in the NYC metro run six to twelve months on the TTP scheduling site. Cancellations open up daily but disappear in seconds, so most applicants only catch them with an SMS alert service.
Yes — JFK participates in CBP's Enrollment Upon Arrival program for conditionally approved Global Entry applicants returning from international travel. You complete the interview at the CBP desk on arrival, no appointment required. Confirm hours with JFK CBP before relying on it.
